My Snowflake Chapter 10

You neatly folded the paper and stared at the floor. “I-I,” you paused taking a deep breath, “need to be alone for a while…to take it all in,” you said while staring out the window. “Your name,” Jack said while coming closer to you. “Don’t worry Jack, I’ll just be up in my room, I just need time to take it all in, I’ll come out when I’m ready to answer your questions.” You smiled and kissed Jack’s cheek and went to your bedroom. You placed the letter on top of your footlocker and went to sit by the window, it was around noon already and you were starving, but your mind wandered elsewhere, you still held the armband.

You sighed, ‘this is so much for me to take in, my father the Vampire King? The consequence hurts because you have to kill the woman who killed your father.’ Well you never wanted to kill anyone but you still want to avenge your father, holding the armband closer to your chest you whispered and closed your eyes “thanks dad.”

After a few more minutes you accepted your fate and went back to the main hall. They all stared at you as you entered the room; with a sigh you asked “ok what are your questions?” Jack answered first “are you ok?” “Yes I’m alright.” You smiled at him warmly. North asked next “vwhat vid Manny say?” you told them about what Manny told you and your destiny, after a few more minutes they all stared blankly at you. Jack broke the silence first

“You can’t fight her alone,”

“Jack this is my fight, not yours,” you said sternly, not wanting anyone to get in danger. “But-“ he started but you cut him off with a hand, “no buts’ Jack,” you said with full authority, your stomach grumbled and everyone laughed at that except for a certain winter spirit.

“Vwell come on!”

~Time skip~

It was Tooth’s turn to ask “would you want us to train you?” she asked hesitating “of course I’d love that,” you said with a smile. Both of you went to her palace and went to a pond that has a painting of her and some children giving teeth to her. “now you have to meditate to with me because calmness is as powerful as anger, except that you won’t have adrenaline pumping in your system,” she said with a chuckle.

~Time skip~

After meditating with Tooth for hours you were finally back at the North Pole. Not seeing Jack anywhere you went straight to your room and found a gloomy Jack by your window. “Jack?” you asked advancing towards him and sitting down in front of the winter spirit, he had his hood up and was looking down.  Putting a finger on his chin and forcing him to face you, his eyes still looking down not meeting your gaze,

“Jack please tell me,” with a sigh he finally answered “I just can’t bear to watch you get hurt while I’m standing on the sidelines helpless,” he muttered a tear falling down his cheek which you wiped away before it turned to ice. “Jack look at me,” he looked at you straight in the eye

“Jack…” you started “this is my destiny, met you or not this was bound to happen, I am born like this, I love you Jack but you have to support me in my decisions, OK?” he nodded

“well I better train you tomorrow then, but first,” he leaned in and you felt his cold lips mold with yours, your hands tangle in his hair while he grips your waist. After a few more kisses both of you finally broke free. Foreheads pressed together. “Now off to bed Snowflake,” he said. After doing your night routine and putting on some red Pjs’,

Jack tucked you in and went to the other side of the bed, he started to hum the song he made you and you drifted to the land of dreams.
